Women who are interested are always welcome to attend our meetings.
Members of the Women’s Shooting Connection of New Mexico meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 2 p.m., unless otherwise specified. The meeting location changes each month among venues in the East Mountain area and the Albuquerque area. This arrangement accommodates members, some of whom live outside these areas, from having to drive so far each month. Switching venues adds a fairness factor.
The general meeting takes place, when possible, before or after a shooting event or opportunity; either a personal target practice session at one of the ranges (usually discounted prices apply to meeting attendees), or an organized event, arranged by group members. Sometimes one of these special events will fall on a day other than the 2nd Sunday of the month; if this occurs, the meeting date may be changed—well in advance—to allow ample time for the members to be notified.
Topics of the general meeting include, but are not limited to, items discussed at board meetings, items of educational interest, upcoming events, classes and training opportunities, ways to build upon our group and events around NM, and always safety, safety, safety. We often have guest speakers.
